Bride and Groom

The bride, Alaina Schraufnagel, was born and raised in Granville, Ohio. She graduated from Granville High School in 2010 and went on to attend Cleveland State University. In December 2013, Alaina graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree as a dual major in Biology and Environmental Sciences, with cum laude honors as a part of the University Honors and Scholars Program. In January 2014, she moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts. She currently works full-time at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Alaina also studies part-time as a graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Finance from the Harvard Extension School.

The groom, Matheus Fernandes, was born in Brazil. He lived in Brazil, Germany, and Texas, before coming to Granville, Ohio in 2007. He graduated from Granville High School in 2009 and went on to attend Case Western Reserve University. In May 2013, Matheus graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with minors in Business Management and Electrical Engineering. He then moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts. In May 2015, he graduated with a Masters of Engineering in Engineering Sciences from the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS). Matheus is currently a full-time student pursuing a PhD in Applied Mathematics with a secondary field in Computational Science and Engineering at Harvard SEAS. mcfernandes.com
